Hi Adrian,
I'm a long time reader, first time poster.

I hope you enjoy your break, and I hope that you come back soon, bigger and better.

I will miss your daily tales of the incredible world of a Sydney taxi driver.

That is very sad.... I love your blog.... it is my morning coffee.....

Please come back!

If any readers are also feeling sad please visit my wife's web site for some retail therapy www.hiromik.com

Kind regards,

Hasta la vista, ol' son!
See ya 'round the ridges.

Oh no!!!

I guess I'll have to take lots of cabs in the evening, in the hope of randomly getting you as my driver and hearing your stories live.

I'll miss you and will look forward to your return.

Take care!

So what am I supposed to do at work now? It's not like there are millions of other blogs to choose from. Oh, wait...

Seriously though, thanks for helping me slack off at work for the past couple of years. I look forward to whatever it is you serve up next.

Cheers,

Ben.

Have a great break, Adrian. You deserve it.

We'll await the return of your words of wisdom (and experience) with antici ... ... pation.

Hi Adrian,

I have enjoyed reading your blog for sometime now but have never posted a comment.

I hope you enjoy your sabbatical and that you do come back.

Lisa

Have a good break, Adrian.

I hope this is "au revoir" and not "goodbye".

Good riddance as far as I'm concerned. Yer blog's rubbish!

adrian - good sabbaticaling but remember in the Good Old Days academics were expected to write a book each sabbatical.

I look forward to a signed hardback copy.

Hi Adrian !

Ahaa
Got the book deal did ya?

At various times, I really want a sabbatical from life. Is this possible Adrian? Have a good "breather" - Kim.

Shame. I enjoy your posts. Hope you will be back.

Argggggghhhh...you will be missed, Adrian. Enjoy your break and achieve all that you wish to achieve plus more.

Come back soon...your blog was my first!!! Doesn't seem right without you about. :)

Absence makes the heart grow fonder....

Actually, read your "I'm off on a sabbatical" post last week, but had forgotten by today and now am sorely disappointed not to find you here with something wise and witty to lighten my Monday blues!

Come back soon!

never thought I would agree with The Paper Boy (forest killer). But he has got this one right.

Gees, thanks for all the best wishes folks, even the backhanders from a couple of relos. There'll be trouble at the next family BBQ !

Everything's good and I'm feeling somewhat refreshed. Back soon. Cheers, Adrian.

Adrian--greetings from the Cathy's World blog in Los Angeles. We look forward to your return.

Since you drive for a living, I'm curious if you've driven the new VE Commodore. I just bought a Pontiac GTO (Holden Monaro) and also picked up a couple of books about Holden. There's a lot of your country's postwar history in its car business--labor, technology, politics, you name it. Myself, I'd take an HQ Monaro from the early seventies.

And here was me checking in to see your inimitable take on driving through Mardi Gras weekend........

Yours is a "must read" blog, Adrian. It's beautifully written with a whiff of "boulevard of broken dreams" realism that people less blessed than you with the insight and experience to depict it accurately, would kill for.

You've no business going on a long hiatus. There's work to be done.

Well, I guess you've earned a break. ;)
Hurry back though you slacker!!

Lokks like taxi driving's the same all round the world?

Only a week or so to go?. I Hope all is well with you Adrian, thanks for all the topics, links etc and time you spend.
Cheers Peter
