Sorry, but...

Image874There was a blogger piss-up in Surrey Hills last night but I missed it. After 6 straight nights in the hack and more tonight, it was a bar too far. My son occasionally drinks there and reckons on Friday nights it's noisy as. What with timber floors and all. Still, I was there in spirit yet home in comfort. Tired, deaf and slack am I.

Here's a cool encounter. On the previous night I picked up a Sydney blogger. And not just any blogger, but one on my Blogroll ! Namely Sean of Sydney Food Diary one of the classiest blogs in town. There's over 5,000 cabs in this town and he picks mine. It was the highlight of an otherwise tough night. Bloody Christmas drunks and smart-arse schoolies. Sheesh...

Link to "Dairy" doesn't seem to be working. Great photo by the way. Personally, I think the idea of going to a "blogger piss-up" sounds bloody awful: full of geeky boys with lap-tops and pseudonyms.

Darlene, 'Diary' link now fixed. Cheers.

Piss-ups certainly are eye-openers. For example, the first one I attended had me chatting to a fella how cool a certain blogger was. He responded that not only was this 'certain blogger', not male but female, but also his missus !

Missing a piss-up is a real pisser!

So Timolina Blair's secret is out now, is it?

Arse, Adrian, the word is 'smart-arse'.

Yeah, good point Dirk. A lazy lapse into Americanism which I've now corrected.

It was fun. Most bloggers surprisingly well-adjusted with good social skills!
